| On June 2009 Proyecto Aldea Global was awarded the highest environmental annual award of Honduras. This award was achieved for excellence in protecting the natural resources in the Cerro Azul National Park.
En junio del 2009 Proyecto Aldea Global se hizo acreedor al primer lugar en categoría institucional, al Premio Nacional del Ambiente. Este premio fue conferido a PAG por la magnífica labor que realiza la organización en pro de la conservación de los recursos naturales del Parque Nacional Cerro Azul Meambar.

Located in the heart of the PANACAM National Park, The Los Pinos Environmental Education Center received 3,005 visitors during 2008. Its facilities complex includes accommodations for 110 people, a 120 people conference room, a food store and a restaurant. During their stay at Los Pinos, tourists can enjoy of variety of different activities such as: bird watching, 15 kms of walking trails, camping, and plant and wild life studies. Every year the center is visited by students from national and international universities and the center provides services to different NGO’s, municipalities, schools and churches who use the center to conduct workshops and spiritual retreats.
A tourist promotional office opened in San Pedro Sula in 2007 to provide reservation and transportation services for national and international tourists who come to Honduras looking for enjoying high quality eco-tourism experiences.
