Located in the heart of the PANACAM National Park, The Los Pinos Environmental Education Center received 3,005 visitors during 2008. Its facilities include accommodations for 110 people, a conference room that seats 120 people, a food store and a restaurant. During your stay at Los Pinos, you can enjoy a variety of different activities such as: bird watching, 15 kms of walking trails, camping, and plant and wild life studies. Every year the center is visited by both national and international university students. The center provides services to different NGO’s, municipalities, schools and churches who use the center to hold workshops and spiritual retreats.
A tourist promotional office opened in San Pedro Sula in 2007 to provide reservation and transportation services for national and international tourists who come to Honduras looking to enjoy some high quality eco-tourism experiences.
