To increase the capacity of local Christian Organizations
(COs) reaching out into their communities, to effectively
implement community development actions linked with
spiritual growth. |

1: Christian Orgs have strengthened their administration,
monitoring and evaluation capacity.

2: Christian Orgs have strengthened their fundraising
capacities

3: The establishment of a network formed by CSO &
Christian Orgs for help & emergency relief has been established

4: An HIV prevention campaign focused on youth is
conducted by CSO & Christian Orgs.

'Through
my participation in the Diakonos program my church family
has changed in its perspectives of presenting the gospel,
we now have began doing practical activities to show
the love of Christ.' |
'The church has shifted paths to become more actively
involved in community service. Now we do outreach
activities that also include road repair, and housing
improvements, which allows us to reach out to many
families that do not attend our church.'
'The Diakonos program has helped up improve out relations
between the church, the community leaders, the mayors,
the water board, and it has brought us to make commitments
to change our lifestyles and the begin to work in
12 family gardens, which will help improve the food
situation for these families.'
Mario Oviedo, 42 years old is a pastor and beneficiary
of Proyecto Aldea Global in Las Lajas, Comayagua,
Honduras.
